The Portland office was introduced to help clients, including Oregon-based Korvis, and reach out to green businesses in the Pacific Northwest.   • Assist in overall public relations support for client activities including day-to-day account management and client communication;
  • Help oversee account tactics, create and deploy creative programs and manage projects and deadlines for internal and client deliverables;
  • Conduct and manage strategic media relations outreach on behalf of clients; develop, drive and tell stories about client partner activities in select media outlets and facilitate interviews with client partners;
  • Formulate relationships with reporters and influencers of key industry and environmental publications;
  • Write media alerts, news releases and other marketing and media materials as needed;
  • Monitor and manage a green news bureau, regularly review clip monitoring service and research and recommend intelligence for client reports and Blue Practice news
  • Serve as an NGO liaison, build alliances with non-profit organizations and recommend and help support collaborative program ideas as appropriate

Switzer Foundation Fellows Call Upon Business Leaders To Lead Their Companies in GHG Reductions

The Switzer Foundation today announced the release of its first-ever survey, entitled: “What the Scientists Know: How Business Leaders can help Solve Climate Change”. The survey was inspired and initiated by a conversation with members of the Committee of 200, the preeminent organization of women business leaders. The executive summary of “solution-oriented” programs for business leaders to design their climate protection programs is available on the websites www.switzernetwork.org and www.bluepractice.com.

One hundred fifty-four Switzer Fellows, environmental scientists and leaders in the area of climate change research and other fields, participated to answer seven questions about how business leaders can best prioritize their activities and programs regarding reducing GHG emissions. Gnatek pens sustainable building feature for SolarToday Magazine

Gnatek quoted in VegNews on Sustainable Brazil

In the June issue of VegNews, Tim Gnatek contributes some insight on Curitiba, Brazil in a story titled: Global Green, 10 Urban Hotspots from Around the Globe. Gnatek traveled to Curitiba to study their world-renowned sustainable practices and green urban planning as part of his Frontline Fellowship in 2004. The trip became a part of his inspiration to form Blue Practice years later.
